Mexicans are celebrating “Cinco de Mayo” (Spanish for “fifth of May”) today. This holiday commemorates their victory over the French at Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
This is not the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico, but it is observed outside Mexico as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.
You are all invited to join in the party with a few fajitas and Mexican beers. Hasta luego!
